Today a small microbe that we could not even see with our naked eyes has locked down us to our houses. We claimed ourselves far advanced in the field of science and perceived Hinduism just a superstitious religion. But in recent days, a lot has been changed. I am not saying that by going to temple you can cure yourself of this virus or prevent yourself from this deadly virus but you can save yourself from having this virus to a great extent if you follow Hinduism. HInduism is not just a religion but a guideline of How to live a life properly.

◾Traditional Belief:

NAMASTE word needs no recognisation. It is also known by the name of NAMASKAR or NAMASKARAM. It is the Hindu custom of Greeting. In this, we press our hands together with palms touching each other and fingers pointing upwards, thumbs close to chest. In Hinduism, it means "I bow to the divine in you",
Namaḥ means 'bow', 'obeisance
te means 'to you'
Therefore, Namaste literally means "bowing to you".In Hinduism, it also has a spiritual import reflecting the belief that "the divine and self (atman, soul) is same in you and me", and connotes "I bow to the divine in you".

◾Scientific Belief:

Today Covid-19 become the hot topic and you can see it all over the news. Most of the countries in the world have locked down their citizen in their homes by imposing Curfew or by urging its citizen to do so. Why do you think Lockdown is imposed? The reason behind Lockdown is to break this chain of virus infection. As this deadly virus primarily spread through contact with an infected person and we dont have vaccine yet so we need to isolate these infected ones. Infected ones can only be isolated if we knew who might be the infected one as real symptoms comes up 1 or 2 week later and during this period they might infect others also. With the advancement in Science and Technology, we discarded NAMASTE to be old fashioned and adopted handshaking as it reflects confidence. With the Dwindle of Old form of Obeisance, the scientific reason behind it also dwindled. The Scientific reason behind it is to keep the obeisance to be contactless and prevent the healthy person from infection. Now, even the supreme power countries are following this custom of greeting.

It shows that the things that we are putting in practice has already been put in practice by Hindu elites many year ago. Every Tradition and Custom has a deep meaning, we need to understand the reasons only.
